Call the national suicide hotline (1-800-784-2433) and the first question asked is "Are you a member of the armed forces?" Shocking? Hardly....

There was lots of coverage this week. It is a terrible byproduct of the war.
Unfortunately.. this is VERY true. Our nephew had two difficult tours. It took a great deal of TLC and understanding.. and getting him TO the counselors to bring him to a place of peace. The further he gets away from it.. the better he is!
We really need to quit giving it a big name.. and just simplify. They are SHELL-SHOCKED. And, need HELP. I don't know why folks feel the need to put a long name on disorders. That in itself.. does NOT help the situation.
No easy answer for these Vets either. So many do NOT have protective families to guide them. The smaller our world gets.. the larger the gap within our families grows. SAD.
